Scarlett Johansson called out James Franco during the Women’s March in Los Angeles on Saturday, for his alleged sexually inappropriate and exploitative behavior.

Franco was criticized for wearing a Time’s Up pin at the Golden Globe Awards on the night of the ceremony, after several women made allegations on Twitter about the actor’s supposed inappropriate sexual behavior.

On Jan. 11, an article in the Los Angeles Times was published detailing the accounts of five women accusing Franco of inappropriate sexual behavior.

James Franco, 39, is so surprised that Scarlett Johansson, 33, decided to call him out in her powerful speech at the 2018 Women’s March in Los Angeles on Jan. 20 that he’s not sure if or when he will respond.

James is stuck between a rock and a hard place—if he responds then it’s like he’s disparaging those women who are speaking out, and if he doesn’t then some may think he assumes a level of guilt.”

James Franco, nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for « The Disaster Artist, » will attend Sunday evening’s SAG Awards, his rep has confirmed.

Franco had skipped out on the Critics’ Choice Awards after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct in a stinging Los Angeles Times piece.

At Saturday’s Women’s March, Scarlett Johansson angrily called Franco out without naming him, though her rep later confirmed to People magazine that it was Franco of whom she was speaking.

Scarlett Johansson called out James Franco for standing behind the Time’s Up movement in public while allegedly “privately preying on people who have no power” during her speech at the Women’s March in Los Angeles on Saturday.

“In light of the recent revelations regarding abuse of power, and sexual harassment, and the question of consent versus coercion, I find myself pensive, taking time, and digging deep to understand where we are, and how we got here.

Shortly after Franco was spotted wearing a Time’s Up pin at the Golden Globe Awards, sexual harassment allegations were made against the actor by a number of women on Twitter, including actress Violet Paley.
